YOU ARE NOT ALONE: PRAYER, CHURCH AND GODS WORD

This inspired teaching is about how the enemy tries to get us thinking negatively about praying, going to Church and reading God’s WORD. This teaching talks about the thoughts that the enemy tries to plant into your mind. The enemy does this to make you feel isolated, shameful, guilty, unworthy and disappointed in yourself when it comes to God. Which in-turn leaves you feeling like you are all alone and God is far from you.

Have you ever been Praying, and all kinds of random and even sinful thoughts seem to pop into your mind giving you a sense of guilt and shame? Then some accusatory voice seems to say, “God is disappointed in you! Why pray? It’s not going to change anything anyways.”

Have you ever been in Church singing or listening to the preacher, and your mind seems to wonder off into all kinds of places besides Church? Then you get the thoughts of, “Why even go to Church? There are nothing but a bunch of hypocrites here anyways; I am not feeling it. I just don’t need Church.”

Have you ever read the Bible and felt like you were reading another language? Do you ever get thoughts like, “I will never understand the WORD so why try, or all the Bible is are a bunch of outdated rules and regulations?”

The Apostle Paul, a man who met the resurrected Jesus, wrote over half the New Testament and a man who most regard as one of the most powerful men of God to have ever lived. Nevertheless, he struggled with warring against his sinful flesh, as well as against demonic temptations like negative thoughts the enemy suggests to us all the time, even to this day. The Apostle Paul shares his struggle against the flesh and the demonic realm with us in the 7th and 8th Chapters of Romans. He shares this to let us know we are NOT Alone, and when you walk in The Spirit through a daily Love Relationship with Jesus Christ, you can overcome your fleshly desires and the demonic realm!

Romans 7:15,18-19,21

15 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.

For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.

21 So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand.

Romans 8:1

1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

The enemy will often attempt to make you feel like you are the only one struggling with these negative thoughts, but the truth is that we all struggle with them on a daily basis. This teaching is given to Shine The Light of God’s Love on these topics, and to let you know, you are NOT Alone!
